Job Details
* Responsible for estimating mid-to-large commercial and institution HVAC projects.
* Responsible for equipment, material and subcontractor buyouts
* Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure bids are accurate
* Responsible for getting all bids submitted within required deadlines
* Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC and construction standards
* Read, understand and use provided plans and specifications to determine accurately estimated cost of jobs
* Use company estimating tools to provide consistent estimates
HVAC PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
* The Preconstruction Estimator will read all plans and specifications of jobs prior to bidding job and will create accurate cost estimates.
* Must be able to negotiate pricing with vendors
* Must be able to correctly bid jobs which come in at estimated costs
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred paired with a minimum of 3 to 5 years estimating large Commercial HVAC jobs.
* Familiar with State Building Codes, OSHPD, ASHRAE standards required.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
