Job Details

Program Coordinator – HVAC
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility for occasional evenings)
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced HVAC professional who is passionate about developing others and leading within an educational setting. This role combines hands-on instruction with program oversight, helping ensure students are well-prepared for careers in the HVAC field.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach HVAC courses (minimum 20 hours/week) in classroom and lab settings
Mentor and support instructors to maintain high-quality instruction
Monitor student progress and provide guidance for academic and career success
Adapt teaching methods to support varying student skill levels
Oversee program operations, including scheduling, equipment, and inventory
Collaborate with faculty and leadership to maintain curriculum quality
Deliver real-world HVAC knowledge, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques
Prepare students for licensing, certification, and workforce entry
Participate in program improvement and professional development initiatives

Requirements:

Active Connecticut S1 or S2 license required (or B2/D2 equivalent — must be verified prior to submission)
Minimum 3 years recent experience as a licensed HVAC Technician
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support others
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

Teaching experience in a post-secondary environment
Supervisory or leadership experience
Experience training, developing, or mentoring others
Passion for workforce development and student success

Additional Notes:

$2,000 sign-on bonus (paid after 90 days)
Candidates must complete a teaching presentation during the interview process
Must confirm current employment status, schedule, and any involuntary terminations
Licensing must be active and verified at time of submission
