We have an opportunity for an HVAC Sales Manager!

The HVAC Sales Manager will champion and train the sales process and be responsible for people management for a growing division. This person will utilize proven methods of implementation and skills developed over the years to close HVAC sales for the company. This position requires a passion for Selling, Training, Coaching and being able to lead by example while honoring our core values of Care, Growth, and Trust. Prior experience is needed in teaching Residential Service Technicians or dedicated Salespeople how to close large HVAC sales.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead by example on how to sell residential HVAC systems and products
  • Complete ride-alongs with technicians to teach advanced closing techniques
  • Order HVAC install equipment
  • Meet and exceed HVAC Sales Manager KPIs & ensure Sales Team KPIs are met and exceeded
  • Develop sales training materials for use within the HVAC department
  • Develop sales presentation materials for use within the HVAC department
  • Create and lead sales classes
  • Recruit, train, and retain HVAC salespeople
  • Motivate, manage, and discipline HVAC salespeople
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of products and services
  • Review and approve salesperson pay
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Manage to key financial objectives (gross profit, operating profit, etc.)
  • Address customer complaints related to field operations
  • Assure adherence to all TDLR governances
  • Be able to understand and manage financing processes for the department
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs
  • Direct clerical staff to keep records of correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections, and to maintain current information on licenses and restrictions
  • Direct, coordinate, and review sales and service accounting and record-keeping, as well as receiving and shipping
  • Any other duties as required by the management team

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job supervises the sales process and all HVAC salespeople

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience training HVAC technicians to sell residential HVAC systems
  • Commercial HVAC experience a plus
  • NATE certification a plus
  • Knowledge of fleet dispatch and logistics a plus
  • Knowledge of Service Finance, GreenSky, Wells Fargo, and other platforms

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Class B HVAC Contractor’s License preferred
  • TDLR license required
  • EPA License required

COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with basic dispatch software
  • ServiceTitan highly preferred
