Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
- Work with blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance to prolong the life of HVAC systems.
- Maintain inventory of company-provided tools and equipment.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected outcomes, obtaining customer's approvals, and providing recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
- EPA Universal Certification is required.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing split systems, rooftop units, and chillers.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning and heating systems.
- Must possess a clean driving record and pass an MVR check.
- Strong understanding of HVAC operations, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- Excellent repair skills and mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within the allocated timeframe.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, peers, and management.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in variable weather conditions.
- Availability for on-call duty and emergencies as required.
