Job Details
We’re looking for a self-driven and detail-oriented HVAC Testing & Balancing (TAB) Technician to join a growing team of field professionals focused on optimizing building performance in the Grand Rapids area. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for performing and managing field testing, balancing, and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems to ensure they operate at peak performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has HVAC experience and is eager to grow their skillset. Industry certification is a plus—but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate who brings motivation, technical curiosity, and strong communication skills.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform on-site HVAC testing, balancing, and system commissioning
- Work closely with contractors, project managers, and building owners to deliver quality results
- Conduct airflow and hydronic measurements to ensure compliance with design specs
- Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues in the field
- Document data and generate test reports for client and project team review
- Maintain clear, organized records to ensure smooth project handoffs
- Uphold safety and quality standards across all projects
What You Bring:
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical components
- Familiarity with air and water balancing, pressure testing, and airflow measurement
- Strong computer skills (data entry, spreadsheet reporting, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate with teams and manage fieldwork independently
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- NEBB certification a plus (but not required—we offer full training)
