Job Details
This individual will oversee key areas of the accounting function, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, support monthly close processes, and lead process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a blend of public accounting and industry experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments.

- Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Manage preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with FP&A, tax, operations, and project development teams to support business initiatives.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
- Investment tax credits (ITCs) and derivative accounting experience
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to senior leadership.
- Assist with technical accounting research, including new standards (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, consolidation).
- Support integration of new projects, systems, or acquisitions into the accounting framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s a plus.
- Active CPA license required.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a combination of public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and industry experience.
- Renewable energy experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Energy, infrastructure, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
