We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Hybrid Controls Engineer with a focus on Extrusion and Web Converting. This unique role combines the technical challenge of an engineering position with the operational aspects of production and maintenance. As a Hybrid Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical control systems for our extrusion and web converting processes. You will work closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure that our processes are running at peak efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement control systems for our extrusion and web converting processes.
2. Collaborate with the production team to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
3. Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance.
4. Troubleshoot and repair control systems as needed.
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation including schematics, manuals, and process flow diagrams.
6. Train staff on the operation of control systems and safety procedures.
7. Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to keep our processes competitive.
8. Work closely with the engineering team to develop new processes and improve existing ones.
9. Ensure that all control systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer, specifically in the extrusion and web converting industry.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems.
PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and other automation technologies.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems.
Customer facing
25% travel (50%+ hybrid remote)
