This role provides an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative team that designs and engineers large electrical building systems. As a leader, you will be involved in diverse projects and will be responsible for overseeing the project production process, electrical lighting and power, and the preparation of documents for LEED certifications. We are looking for a professional with a background in the electrical consulting business and the ability to design complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the engineering team, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
2. Oversee and participate in the project production process, ensuring the design and implementation of large electrical building systems meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
3. Design complex electrical systems that are both innovative and practical, meeting the unique needs of each project.
4. Prepare and manage documents for LEED certifications, ensuring that all projects align with sustainable building practices.
5. Provide expert electrical consulting services to clients, offering solutions that are both technically sound and financially viable.
6. Collaborate with other team leads and project managers to ensure that all aspects of a project are integrated and coordinated effectively.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, implementing them into your team’s practices as appropriate.
8. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, providing feedback and fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification would be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a specific focus on designing large electrical building systems.
3. Proven experience in the electrical consulting business, with a track record of providing innovative and practical solutions.
4. Extensive experience with the project production process, including the design and implementation of complex electrical systems.
5. Familiarity with LEED certifications and sustainable building practices.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to both team members and clients.
8. Proficiency in the use of modern engineering software and tools.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
