Job Details

We are on the hunt for a dynamic Litigation Assistant to join our high-performing team on a part-time, permanent hybrid basis. Flexibility with hours! Ideally looking for someone to work 20-24 hours a week. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and is eager to take on challenging tasks. This person will support one Partner.

Responsibilities:

1. Drafting and managing correspondence related to litigation matters.
2. Scheduling and calendaring court dates, meetings, and deadlines to ensure the timely execution of tasks.
3. Filing and organizing legal documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.
4. Assisting in the drafting of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
5. Serving as the main point of contact for plaintiffs, ensuring their needs are met and their questions answered.
6. Preparing and submitting expense reports, and managing travel arrangements for attorneys.
7. Coordinating with court officials and other legal professionals to facilitate the litigation process.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role in the legal industry.
2. Proficiency in managing correspondence, scheduling, filing, drafting, and calendaring.
3. Familiarity with the litigation process, court protocols, and legal terminology.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficiency in using legal software for document management and other tasks.
7. Experience in handling expense reports and travel arrangements.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
