We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent, hybrid position that will play a crucial role in our manufacturing industry finance team. You will be responsible for managing fixed assets, auditing, preparing financial statements, account reconciliation, variance analysis, journal entries, year-end close, and various other accounting tasks. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the fixed assets of the organization, including tracking, recording, and depreciation schedules.
2. Conduct internal audits to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with the law.
3. Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and reports on changes in financial position.
4. Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Conduct variance analysis for revenues and expenditures to identify trends and make recommendations.
6. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
7. Carry out the end-of-year close process, preparing the organization for the upcoming fiscal year.
8. Collaborate with other members of the finance team to review and improve accounting processes and procedures.
9. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts and participate in the ongoing strategic planning.
10. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in financial software and databases, as well as MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial reports that are accurate and actionable.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
9. CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
10. Experience in a hybrid working environment is a plus.
