Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hybrid Sr Accountant to join our team in the engineering industry. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both on-site and remotely. As a Sr Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, providing in-depth analysis and insights, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements. You will be responsible for managing various accounting operations, including reconciliations, consolidation, and external audit processes.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
3. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
4. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
5. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
8. Collaborate with financial staff and executives to forecast, plan, and manage the financial aspects of our business.
9. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles.
5. High proficiency in Excel and experience with a major ERP system.
6. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
7. Proven experience in performing external audits.
8. Experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
12. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
13. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
