Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
2. Conducting feasibility studies, writing reports, creating blueprints, and designing structural systems.
3. Working closely with architects and other professionals to ensure that projects are safely and efficiently executed.
4. Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs and performing complex calculations.
5. Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors.
6. Resolving design and development problems and ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

1. A bachelor's degree in engineering is a must, with a master's degree preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) is required, and Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
4. Proven experience in land development and site development.
5. Strong knowledge of industry standards and building codes.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in using engineering software.
9. A commitment to continuing professional development.
