Job Details
Our prestigious law firm is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Immigration Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who has a passion for immigration law and is eager to provide high-quality legal services to individuals, families, and businesses navigating immigration matters. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration law, including removal proceedings, asylum, employment-based immigration, and family immigration.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients on complex immigration matters, including removal proceedings, asylum, employment-based immigration, and family immigration.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
3. Prepare and submit legal documentation such as appeals, motions, applications, and petitions related to immigration.
4. Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings, advocating for their rights and best interests.
5. Provide legal consultation services to clients, explaining the complexities of immigration law and guiding them through the process.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration law and policy.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
8. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to ensure the successful resolution of cases.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be an active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
3. 2+ years of experience as an Immigration Attorney
4. Proven experience in handling removal proceedings, asylum cases, employment-based immigration, and family immigration.
5. Proficient in conducting comprehensive legal research and preparing precise legal documentation.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
7. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
9. Strong commitment to ethics and a high level of professionalism.
10. Proficient in the use of legal research software and other legal technologies.
11. Fluency in Russian, Uzbek, or Georgian languages is highly preferred.
