We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of immigration cases, including family-based immigration, asylum, deportation defense, and immigration petitions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of immigration laws and policies, and possess the ability to provide expert legal advice, conduct thorough legal research, and ensure legal compliance. This role requires superior negotiation skills, excellent client counseling abilities, and proficiency in preparing and reviewing legal documentation. Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Provide expert legal advice on immigration matters to a diverse client base.
2. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis of immigration laws and policies.
3. Prepare and submit immigration petitions and other legal documents in a timely manner.
4. Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including deportation defense cases.
5. Counsel clients on their legal rights and obligations, providing clear and comprehensive information.
6. Negotiate with opposing parties to reach favorable resolutions for clients.
7. Ensure all legal activities are in compliance with state and federal laws.
8. Maintain updated knowledge of changes in immigration laws and procedures.
9. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Immigration Attorney.
3. Proven experience in family-based immigration, asylum, deportation defense, and immigration petitions.
4. Exceptional understanding of immigration laws and policies.
5. Excellent legal research, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
6. Proficient in preparing and reviewing a wide range of legal documents.
7. Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and ensure legal compliance.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
9. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
10. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.
