Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a high volume of immigration cases from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and cases are processed efficiently.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and to stay updated on the latest changes in immigration law.
3. Prepare and file a wide range of immigration documents, including petitions, applications, briefs, and appeals.
4. Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with regular updates on their case status and addressing their inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
5. Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies, review legal documents, and prepare for hearings or trials.
6. Maintain meticulous case files, ensuring all relevant documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
7. Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling appointments, maintaining attorney calendars, and assisting with billing and reporting tasks.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar role.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law and procedures.
4. Excellent client service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and handle sensitive information with discretion.
5. Proficiency in preparing and filing a wide range of legal documents, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
7. Strong legal research skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and synthesize information effectively.
8. Experience with case management software and other legal technologies.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and professionalism at all times.
