Industrial Electrician (Mission Critical & Data Center Projects)
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Electrician with a strong background in mission critical environments and data center operations. This role will support the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems in high-demand industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to system reliability and operational excellence in environments where uptime is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial, mission critical, and data center environments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to support the commissioning and start-up of new systems.
  • Document work performed, update maintenance logs, and report on system status and improvements.
  • Respond to emergency outages or system failures, including participating in on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical program preferred.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the state of Oklahoma (or ability to obtain).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting, with at least 2 years in mission critical or data center environments.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents, wiring schematics, and control drawings.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, PLCs, and automated controls is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team under high-pressure and fast-paced conditions.
  • Must be able to pass background screening and drug testing as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SCADA or building management systems (BMS).
  • NFPA 70E Certification.
  • Familiarity with redundancy systems (N+1, 2N configurations) in data center infrastructure.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Work may involve exposure to heights, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and loud environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
