Seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Engineer to join our progressive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, product development, and supply chain management. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products while optimizing production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
2. Design and implement production layouts, workflow, assembly methods, and production equipment layout.
3. Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design and improve production systems and processes.
4. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
5. Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
6. Apply Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
7. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing and production defects and other operational issues.
8. Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure consistent availability of raw materials and finished goods.
9. Oversee routine equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development projects, ensuring products are manufacturable and that optimal production strategies are implemented.
11. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement in the manufacturing process.
12. Oversee supply chain management to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant software.
4. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is highly desirable.
5. Demonstrated experience in production planning and inventory management.
6. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods and their application in a manufacturing setting.
7. Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
9. Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance and process improvement.
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
11. Proven ability to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Solid understanding of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
