About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop, refine, and implement automation software and control systems for customer projects. This role combines software development with hands-on industrial automation, requiring collaboration with customers, field technicians, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful system implementation.

You'll have the opportunity to design practical automation solutions, support commissioning activities, and contribute to projects from concept through customer acceptance.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement software for industrial automation and process control systems.
Configure, commission, and support PLC, DCS, HMI, and robotics applications.
Create and maintain software documentation, revision history, graphics, and configuration changes.
Support customer startups, troubleshooting, and operator training.
Work directly with hardware and software vendors to resolve technical issues.
Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and functional checkouts.
Configure PLCs and DCS platforms for manufacturing and material handling applications.
Develop and support HMI applications using platforms such as Wonderware, PanelView, and similar visualization software.
Integrate industrial devices including sensors, barcode readers, RFID systems, pneumatic components, valves, and actuators.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver automation solutions on schedule.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with relevant industrial automation experience.
Equivalent combination of education and industrial process control experience will also be considered.
Experience with PLCs, DCS platforms, and industrial control systems.
Knowledge of process control, instrumentation, and control loop tuning.
2-4+ years of software development experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Programming experience with Java, C++, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented languages.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel approximately 25% to customer sites.
