We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Infection Control Nurse Manager for our outpatient primary care healthcare organziation!!!

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment. The Infection Control Nurse Manager will play a critical role in preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases within our outpatient facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, infection control, and management, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

As an Infection Control Nurse Manager, your primary duties will include:

1. Developing, implementing, and managing infection prevention and control programs in line with the latest guidelines and standards.
2. Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of infection and implementing appropriate control measures.
3. Providing education and training to staff members on infection control procedures and protocols.
4. Monitoring and analyzing infection control data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop effective infection control strategies.
6. Conducting investigations in the event of an outbreak or infection incident, and implementing corrective actions.
7. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal infection control regulations and guidelines.
8. Participating in quality improvement initiatives related to infection control.
9. Providing expert advice and guidance to staff, patients, and visitors on infection control matters.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Infection Control Nurse Manager position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid license.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on infection control.
3. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.
4. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
5. Proven experience in developing and implementing infection control programs.
6. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, protocols, and regulations.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
11. Proficiency in using healthcare software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
