We’re in need of a Network Security Administrator to join our team in Palm Springs. - A strong Windows Server admin background with daily VMware vCenter use.
- Cybersecurity knowledge, including endpoint protection, firewall rules, and threat analysis.
- Active Directory and domain-level security protocol management.
- Scripting (PowerShell) and basic networking (Cisco switches, VLANs).
- Familiarity with PKI, security headers, firewalls, ports/protocols, and HITRUST compliance.

Qualifications
Use of VMware VCenter – managing servers, building new servers, and maintaining a VM / vSphere network and hosts
Experience with Cyber Security and the different types of tools used along with a good understanding of troubleshooting the current threats that would compromise a Windows network
- Support the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the organization’s digital infrastructure.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to proactively identify potential threats and system weaknesses.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain key security tools including firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems (IDS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
- Monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious or unauthorized activity, and respond promptly to security incidents.
- Perform internal security audits and assessments; prepare and present findings and recommendations to management.
- Lead employee cybersecurity training and awareness initiatives, reinforcing security best practices and organizational policies.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, legislation, and best practices; recommend enhancements accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure ongoing compliance with established security standards and regulations.
- Manage user access controls and maintain security settings across Active Directory, Windows servers, and LAN/WAN environments.
- Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect critical data and infrastructure.
- Support the creation and maintenance of network policies, authorization protocols, and security configuration standards.
- Provide installation and ongoing support for servers, VMware environments, Microsoft 365, MS SQL Server, SANs, and related network security tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation of hardware, configurations, network changes, and system updates.
- Respond to support requests, initiate and track work orders, and document actions taken to resolve issues.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence by modeling professional standards and communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of:
Use of VMware VCenter – managing servers, building new servers, and maintaining a VM / vSphere network and hosts
Experience with Cyber Security and the different types of tools used along with a good understanding of troubleshooting the current threats that would compromise a Windows network
- Highly skilled knowledge along with daily experience of managing security protocols used on a Windows network domain environment and the tools used to manage the AD network (4 years minimum exp)
- Basic knowledge of the PowerShell scripting and how to write scripts and functions to manage a windows network environment
- 1-2 years knowledge and/or experience managing a Cisco network switch along with the commands used to setup and maintain and support issues on a network environment with VLANs and port security.
- Knowledge of PKI Certificates and the management, creation, and maintenance for a network environment
- Knowledge of what Security Headers are for web site-based security and how to create, audit and maintain the web sites internal and external facing with proper security measures.
- Domain level tiering of an Active Directory domain (hands on working with the team or building it for a production network) for proper network segmentation to ensure Cyber Security needs are met for internal threat on the network
- 1-2 years hands on working with Firewalls plus knowledge of different Ports / Protocols that are used and for what purpose and how to set up and maintain the rules needed for a Firewall and/or other security devices on a network.
- Common CLI commands that are used for Network Security on a Windows Network along with tools used for managing and maintaining that security to the high standards that we require for HITRUST.
