We are seeking an innovative and experienced Instructional Systems Designer to join our dynamic Tech Services team. This is a permanent position that will take the lead in designing, developing, and implementing a variety of instructional systems and training modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge retention and transfer. This position requires a deep understanding of how people learn, coupled with the ability to translate that understanding into a robust and effective learning experience.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to identify target audience’s training needs and instructional end goals.
2. Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge retention and transfer.
3. Design and develop instructional materials such as 3D immersive lessons, storyboards, and other educational content.
4. Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods to create learning experiences that are engaging, activity-based, and results-oriented.
5. Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.).
6. Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
7. Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
8. Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).
9. Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
10. Maintain project documentation and course folders for all assigned projects.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field. A Master’s Degree will be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum of five years of professional experience in instructional design, preferably in the tech industry.
3. Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
4. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
5. Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
6. Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
7. Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
8. Experience with 3D immersive lessons, storyboards, and other innovative instructional methods.
9. Strong communication skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. Creative and innovative thinker, with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
