Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough legal research to support defense strategies in insurance litigation cases.
2. Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
3. Conduct depositions of parties and witnesses to gather relevant information for case preparation.
4. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
5. Develop and present defense strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and other team members.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
7. Stay updated on current laws, court decisions, and industry trends related to insurance defense.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 year of experience in insurance defense litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience in conducting depositions, legal research, legal writing, and civil litigation.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
9. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
10. Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
