Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced associate to join our insurance defense practice. This role offers genuine ownership over cases, from intake through resolution, with exposure to a broad spectrum of claims and accountability for guiding strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage insurance defense cases end-to-end, from inception through resolution
  • Perform deep legal research and provide analysis to inform case strategy
  • Draft, review, and handle pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings
  • Lead discovery efforts: taking and defending depositions, managing discovery responses
  • Handle slip & fall and commercial auto accident matters (and related claims)
  • Liaise and coordinate with clients, internal teams, opposing counsel, vendors
  • Monitor changes in insurance defense law and ensure compliance
  • Advise clients on insurance claims and related legal exposure

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Current, good-standing membership in the California Bar
  • 3+ years’ experience in insurance defense litigation
  • Demonstrated success in legal research, civil litigation, drafting, and case management
  • Prior experience with slip & fall and commercial auto accident cases
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance law and regulation
  • Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage several matters simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • High ethical standards, strong integrity, attention to detail
