Responsibilities:

As an Insurance Defense Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Representing insurance companies and their policyholders in civil litigation matters involving personal injury, bad faith, and property liability.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on potential risks and legal considerations.
3. Preparing and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients and advising them on their legal rights and obligations.
5. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making legal arguments to judges and juries.
6. Staying updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients and their cases.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an insurance defense attorney, specifically in personal injury defense, bad faith, and property liability.
4. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in court.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal disputes.
6. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate complex legal concepts.
8. High degree of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
