We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic team, providing legal services of the highest quality to our clients. This is a golden opportunity for an experienced professional who is well-versed in Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Mediation, and Commercial Litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing insurance companies and their insureds in a wide range of litigation-related matters. The role requires a proactive individual who can handle a diverse caseload, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and maintain a high degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense-related litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and commercial litigation.
2. Provide comprehensive legal advice to insurance companies and their insureds on a variety of complex issues.
3. Conduct thorough case analysis and develop effective defense strategies.
4. Manage all phases of the litigation process, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
6. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other legal memoranda.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
8. Stay updated on current legislation, court rulings, and industry trends relevant to insurance law and defense litigation.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
4. Proven expertise in Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Mediation, and Commercial Litigation.
5. Proficiency in managing a large caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines.
6. Strong negotiation, litigation, and trial advocacy skills.
7. Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
