Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality legal representation to insurance companies in defense of claims and lawsuits.
- Prepare coverage opinions that accurately interpret and explain insurance policy provisions.
- Conduct thorough and timely legal research to support defense strategies.
- Draft and review a wide variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, offering clear communication and regular updates on case progress.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance law and related areas of legal practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Current license to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense and/or insurance coverage experience.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
