Job Details

We are seeking an experienced RN Manager to oversee our LDRP/Obstetrics Department on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience in the OB Department, including Labor & Delivery experience. This is an interim position which offers a 6 or 12 month contract. This position will be responsible for managing the department's daily operations, ensuring excellent patient care, and leading a team of registered nurses. However, if absolutely necessary, it may require stepping into a patient-care situation on occasion, thus Labor & Delivery experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Obstetrics Department's daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and patient care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and support staff.
  • Ensure the department meets all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Promote a positive work environment and foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient records, staffing schedules, and budget reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in obstetrics and women's health care.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current RN license and some experience in Obstetrics, specifically Labor & Delivery (L&D).
  • At least one year of leadership experience is highly preferred. Must have leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • RNC-OB and/or C-EFM certifications are desirable, but not required.
