We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Inventory Accountant to join our growing team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy and consistency in our financial records. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all inventory accounting functions, including tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
2. Utilize ERP systems to optimize labor and production efficiencies.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, detailing inventory status and valuation.
4. Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
6. Assist in the development of the annual budget, incorporating inventory costs and projections.
7. Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and asset tracking.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in inventory and manufacturing accounting.
9. Work closely with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
10. Identify areas for process improvement and implement new systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their application in improving labor and production efficiencies.
4. Proficiency in inventory accounting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
5. Experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
6. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate monthly reports and annual budgets.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
9. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
