We are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to join our Food Manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our production process by maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of inventory management, purchasing, and production materials. They will be responsible for managing and optimizing all facets of our inventory including purchasing, ordering, and tracking of materials. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
2. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring no disruption in production due to lack of materials.
3. Conduct regular inventory audits and generate detailed reports on inventory levels, purchases, and production materials.
4. Collaborate with the production and procurement departments to forecast needs and plan for future requirements.
5. Manage the ordering and purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.
6. Analyze data to anticipate future needs, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
7. Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
8. Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders.
9. Troubleshoot any issues related to inventory control and propose effective solutions.
10. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in inventory management systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, or a related role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Profound knowledge of inventory management systems and advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong understanding of forecasting and budgeting procedures.
6. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
7. Superior negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier contracts.
8. Proven experience in creating and processing purchase orders.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) will be a plus.
