Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit USPTO filings such as applications, responses, renewals, and assignment documents
  • File international intellectual property applications via the WIPO system (Madrid Protocol) or PCT procedures
  • Oversee and update intellectual property docketing systems, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Perform initial patent and trademark searches
  • Provide support during client intake processes and maintain ongoing communications
  • Collaborate with international associates on global matters
  • Create and update reports on client status
  • Occasionally support litigation teams with document organization and submission
  • Evaluate and process preliminary bills and invoices in line with attorney guidelines

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an intellectual property paralegal
  • Familiarity with USPTO tools such as Patent Center, Trademark Center/TEAS, and TSDR
  • Experience with intellectual property docketing software (e.g., ProLaw or Perfect Law) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of global filing procedures and associated timelines
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Preferred credentials include a Bachelor's degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate
