Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Qualifications Needed:
- Track, analyze, and report job costs for ongoing construction projects
- Ensure accurate job cost allocation using Viewpoint Vista ERP
- Monitor labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs
- Conduct monthly meetings with Project Managers to review cost performance
- Perform cost variance analysis and share actionable insights with leadership
- Prepare monthly cost reports and support WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules
- Reconcile subcontractor billing, POs, and committed costs
- Collaborate with Technology Manager to develop data dashboards and reporting tools
- Contribute to month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in job cost accounting within heavy highway construction
- Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista is required
- Experience with HCSS HeavyJob or similar job cost tracking software is preferred
- Proven ability to create and manage dashboards or visual data tools
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and tech-savvy
