Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Track, analyze, and report job costs for ongoing construction projects
  • Ensure accurate job cost allocation using Viewpoint Vista ERP
  • Monitor labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Project Managers to review cost performance
  • Perform cost variance analysis and share actionable insights with leadership
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and support WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules
  • Reconcile subcontractor billing, POs, and committed costs
  • Collaborate with Technology Manager to develop data dashboards and reporting tools
  • Contribute to month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Maintain adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in job cost accounting within heavy highway construction
  • Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista is required
  • Experience with HCSS HeavyJob or similar job cost tracking software is preferred
  • Proven ability to create and manage dashboards or visual data tools
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration across departments
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and tech-savvy
