If you're a seasoned Journeyman Plumber with a passion for the construction industry, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly skilled individual who has a deep understanding of plumbing systems and construction procedures. This is a permanent position where you will be working on various commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing systems, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the relevant codes.
Responsibilities:
As a Journeyman Plumber, your responsibilities will include:
1. Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
2. Installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
3. Locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
4. Measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
5. Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
6. Ensuring all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
7. Ensuring all plumbing work meets or exceeds relevant building codes and regulations.
8. Working collaboratively with the construction team to ensure plumbing work aligns with the overall project plan.
9. Providing guidance and expertise to apprentice plumbers and assist in their development.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A valid plumbing Journeyman license.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
4. Experience with HVAC installation, building codes, air conditioning, and commercial plumbing.
5. Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and ability to make on-the-job applications.
6. Proven experience in installing and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential buildings.
7. Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as the ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
8. High standard of integrity and professionalism.
9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
