We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Labor and Employment Attorney to join our client's rapidly growing legal team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of labor and employment matters. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to our clients on a broad spectrum of labor and employment issues. This role requires a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations, excellent litigation skills, and the ability to handle complex cases independently. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to client service and a proven track record in managing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and counsel on a wide range of labor and employment matters including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, wage and hour issues, terminations, and employee relations matters.
2. Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, as well as managing and conducting discovery.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
4. Propound and respond to discovery, draft motions, and negotiate settlements.
5. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategies for handling labor and employment matters.
6. Stay current on federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations to ensure the company and its clients remain in compliance.
7. Develop and deliver training to clients on various labor and employment law topics.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of labor and employment law experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
4. Extensive experience in labor and employment litigation, including harassment and discrimination cases.
5. Proven track record of propounding and responding to discovery and drafting motions.
6. Excellent client service skills with the ability to manage and build client relationships.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with clients.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
10. High level of professional integrity and ethics, and respect for confidentiality.
