Job Details

We are currently seeking a Labor & Employment Associate for our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Employment and Labor Law, and Dispute Resolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and support to our diverse clientele, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and representing clients in employment-related disputes. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry, with a specific focus on labor and employment law.

Responsibilities

As a Labor & Employment Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Providing expert legal advice to clients on a range of labor and employment law matters, including but not limited to, employee relations, wage and hour issues, workplace safety, discrimination, and harassment.
2. Representing clients before administrative agencies, arbitration panels, and court proceedings.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
4. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on various labor and employment issues.
5. Assisting in dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
6. Collaborating with other team members to develop strategies for handling labor and employment matters.
7. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in labor and employment law and advising clients accordingly.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Permanent Labor & Employment Associate, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing labor and employment law.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
6. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
