We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Labor & Employment Attorney (Defense) to join our robust legal team. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling labor and employment matters for a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, with a focus on defense. The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of labor and employment issues, as well as representing clients in litigation. This role requires a deep understanding of FMLA, ADA, litigation, and defense.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, litigation, and defense.
2. Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
3. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
5. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, and other legal documents.
6. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
7. Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
8. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on defense.
3. Proven experience with FMLA, ADA, litigation, and defense.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to build rapport with clients.
7. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
8. Excellent negotiation skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
