We are seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of labor and employment law, outstanding communication skills, and an ability to handle complex legal issues. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment related matters, including but not limited to, employee discipline, terminations, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour compliance, contract negotiations, and workplace investigations.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
3. Represent the organization in labor and employment related litigation, including the preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis on various labor and employment laws, regulations, and court decisions.
5. Develop and implement labor and employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on labor and employment law topics, such as harassment prevention, discrimination, and workplace rights and responsibilities.
7. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and work closely with human resources and management to address and resolve labor and employment issues.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the MA state bar.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong emphasis on litigation.
4. Proven experience in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. High ethical standards and professionalism.
9. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
