Laboratory Supervisor

We are an award-winning hospital located in Minnesota's spectacular Lake Region seeking a lab supervisor with experience in blood bank, chemistry, and basic urinalysis.

We are a CLIA lab with CAP accreditation and run 30k tests per month.

In this role, you will provide direct supervision to laboratory staff, including MLS, MLT, Phlebotomists, and interns. You will also be responsible for performing procedures in all sections of the lab. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This position requires a highly trained, specialized individual who has the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations. In this role, you will work closely with patients, the Pathologist, office staff, physicians, nursing service, and other personnel.

Qualifications
1. A 4-year degree in medical laboratory science is strongly preferred. Otherwise, a Bachelor of Science degree with an internship under the direction of a Pathologist in an approved laboratory is required.
2. Must possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS-approved laboratory certification (e.g., ASCP or AMT).
3. Must maintain approved certification status.
4. Minimum of two years of lab experience.
5. Ability to follow detailed blood collection and lab procedures and develop new procedures as needed by the Laboratory Medical Director.
6. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
