As a Permanent Land Surveyor, you will be a vital part of our dynamic, growth-oriented engineering team. You will have the opportunity to apply your extensive knowledge and experience in land surveying to a wide range of challenging projects. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company while also enhancing your professional skills and career development.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform comprehensive land surveys, including ALTA surveys, topography, and boundary surveys, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
2. Prepare detailed survey drawings and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements.
3. Collaborate closely with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction professionals, to provide critical survey data and insights.
4. Utilize advanced surveying equipment and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
5. Manage all aspects of survey projects, from initial planning and fieldwork to final report preparation and presentation.
6. Ensure the maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment.
7. Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced surveying staff.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact land surveying activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
2. Must hold a current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on ALTA surveys, topography, and boundary surveys.
4. Proficiency in using advanced surveying equipment and technology.
5. Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and other relevant applications.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Must be physically capable of performing fieldwork under various weather conditions.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
