We're partnered with an excellent firm that is recruiting for an experienced Land Use & Zoning attorney with 3+ years of experience. Our client has enjoyed high retention across the organization as a result of a supportive, collaborative environment with challenging and sophisticated casework across their practice groups.
The land use practice encompasses moratoria, annexation, code enforcement, roads (including prescription, acquisition, and condemnation), and environmental compliance. The firm has a specialized focus on public sector land use matters, election compliance, zoning, and regulatory compliance for government entities across the state of Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent cities, counties, and governmental authorities in complex land use negotiations with developers and property owners
- Provide counsel on zoning ordinances, land development regulations, and environmental compliance matters
- Handle annexation proceedings, subdivision approvals, and comprehensive planning matters
- Support municipalities in enforcement actions and ordinance violations
- Assist with condemnation proceedings and property acquisition matters
- Draft and review zoning ordinances, land use policies, and development agreements

Minimum Qualifications:

- 3+ years of recent land use, zoning, or real estate experience in a law firm setting
- Strong academic credentials, J.D. from an accredited university
- Admission to GA bar
- Exceptional organizational, written, and oral advocacy skills
- Stable employment history
- Government law experience preferred but not required
