Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal person will help bring themed entertainment and recreational environments to life through compelling landscape design, site elements, and immersive outdoor spaces. You will collaborate with architects, planners, interior designers, and engineers to produce designs that are beautiful, functional, safe, and aligned with brand, site, and concept requirements.

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal person will help bring themed entertainment and recreational environments to life through compelling landscape design, site elements, and immersive outdoor spaces. You will collaborate with architects, planners, interior designers, and engineers to produce designs that are beautiful, functional, safe, and aligned with brand, site, and concept requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating landscape and outdoor space designs for entertainment facilities (e.g., water parks, family entertainment centers, public parks, athletic facilities).
- Develop site layouts, planting plans, hardscape details, site furnishings, surface treatments, and thematic elements that support a cohesive design concept.
- Prepare sketches, conceptual renderings, graphics, and presentations to communicate design intent to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with architecture, interior design, branding and thematic development teams to ensure integration of themes and visual cohesion.
- Take part in site analysis: evaluate topography, existing vegetation, drainage, soil, site constraints.
- Produce detailed construction drawings and specifications for landscape related elements.
- Work with engineering/planning to ensure compliance with local codes, accessibility, building and safety standards.
- Review materials, plants, site fixtures, and finishes, selecting items that align with concept, durability, and budget.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations including photographs, models or rendered visuals as needed.
- Perform site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor implementation, and ensure design quality during construction.
Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or related field.
- 2-5 years (or more, depending on level) of experience in landscape design, preferably with exposure to recreational / entertainment / themed environments.
- Strong graphic ability: ability to sketch, use design visualization tools (such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other rendering tools).
- Proficiency (or working knowledge) in CAD or other software for producing construction drawings.
- Knowledge of plant materials, hardscape materials, site furnishings, sustainability practices, and maintenance considerations.
- Creative thinker with sensitivity to thematic design, branding, immersive experiences.
- Good communication and teamwork skills. Able to present ideas clearly and collaborate across disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with local regulations, site planning, accessibility / ADA, safety codes (as relevant).
