We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Lateral Labor and Employment Associate to join our prestigious legal firm. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to contribute and drive our labor and employment law division. The successful candidate will be a part of a team that handles complex and challenging labor and employment cases, providing legal advice to a diverse range of clients from multiple industries. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, with the potential for significant client interaction and case management.

Responsibilities:

As a Lateral Labor and Employment Associate, you will be expected to:

1. Handle a wide range of labor and employment matters including wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave interference and wrongful termination.
2. Provide strategic legal advice to clients on all matters related to labor and employment law.
3. Represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including collective bargaining agreements.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
5. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various labor and employment issues.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and work diligently to meet their legal needs in a timely manner.
7. Contribute to the firm's business litigation practice, handling cases related to employment and labor law.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law.
4. Proficiency in mediation and business litigation.
5. A portable book of business is highly desirable.
6. Outstanding research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
7. A deep understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Proven track record of managing multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
10. Strong commitment to client service and demonstrated dedication to developing and maintaining client relationships.
11. WIll have a relevant and portable book of business.
