Job Details

Managing and overseeing daily operations of various accounting entities. Set up new bank accounts, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, insurance, cash forecasting and any other areas associated with each entity. Generating financial reports, analyzing data, profit and loss management, and working with other departments as needed. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage new and existing bank accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for new and existing entities.
  • Work with banks to establish and manage new bank accounts.
  • Responsible for managing sensitive financial data, generating financial reports, accurately recording data from various sources, and meeting daily/weekly/monthly deadlines.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Manage month-end deadlines including generating month-end reports.
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting, manages cash, ensures all bank accounts are funded, analyzes data and prepares reconciliations.
  • Responsible for daily treasury and cash forecasting functions, complex general ledger account reconciliations, month-end general ledger postings and any other month-end assignments as needed.
  • Oversees and manages payroll processing, timekeeping, as well as reporting.
  • Oversees benefits administration and manages the 401(k) Plan for employees and employer matching contributions as it relates to payroll.
  • Supervises and training accounting and payroll staff.
  • Manages the 401(k) Plan and ensures accuracy of employee 401(k) deductions and employer match 401(k) contributions.

Minimum education Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPP – Certified Payroll Professional preferred
  • 5-7 years of accounting and payroll experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years of computerized accounting experience
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • At least 2-3 years of staff management experience
  • Experience with MAS 90 or MAS 200 (Sage 100 or Sage Intacct) or other accounting software
