Job Details
Our client is looking for an experienced Lead AV Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is a field-based role with some office time required at our Williamsburg HQ. You’ll take the lead on commercial AV installations — from small conference rooms to large, fully integrated systems — while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
Lead commercial audio/video system installations
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
Collaborate with sales engineers, clients, and project teams
Train and support junior technicians
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
What You Bring:
5+ years of AV installation and troubleshooting experience
3+ years leading AV projects in the field
Experience with:
Flat panels, projectors, audio systems (25/70-Volt)
Video distribution, IP encoders, control systems, DSP
Building and wiring AV racks, structured cabling
Strong communication and leadership skills
Basic computer/networking skills
Reliable vehicle + valid driver’s license
Your own basic tools
Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
Preferred but Not Required:
Industry certifications: AVIXA CTS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Legrand AV
Experience with security/surveillance systems
Familiarity with construction environments
Physical & Legal Requirements:
Comfortable working on ladders and using power tools
Able to follow safety protocols
Must pass a background check and qualify for DCJS licensing
