Position: Lead Audio-Video Installation Technician

Pay Rate: $22–$32/hour (6-Month Contract-to-Hire)

Position: Surveillance/CCTV/Security Installation Technician

#1 - ATV Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Audio-Video Installation Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This role focuses on advanced installation, troubleshooting, and oversight of commercial AV systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the successful outcome of projects, mentoring junior team members, and coordinating with clients and project teams. Installations vary from simple conference rooms to fully integrated building systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of commercial audio/video systems
  • Coordinate with sales engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Supervise and train co-workers on proper installation techniques and safety protocols
  • Install and service equipment including:
o Flat panel displays and projectors
o Audio systems (25/70-Volt) and video distribution systems
o IP encoders, control systems, DSPs, and building racks
o Structured cabling, lacing wires, and rough-in cabling
  • Work on construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Travel primarily in company vehicles to client sites; occasional travel directly to construction sites may require personal vehicle use
  • Ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain professional appearance and strong communication with clients and team members
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years leading AV installations and coordinating with project teams and clients
  • Minimum of 5 years installing and troubleshooting AV systems in commercial environments
  • Applicable industry certifications/training preferred: AVIXA/Infocomm CTS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Legrand AV
  • Experience with structured cabling, security, or surveillance systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction techniques and ability to work safely on ladders and with power tools
  • Strong computer and networking skills
  • Own basic industry tools
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Professional appearance with a friendly, responsive attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Motivated to learn and grow within the company
  • Ability to pass background check and obtain DCJS license

#2 - CCTV Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Surveillance/CCTV/Security Installation Technician with experience in installing and servicing IP cameras, surveillance systems, and security/access control systems. The ideal candidate is reliable, skilled, and committed to delivering high-quality installations and service.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain IP surveillance systems (experience with Hanwha, Samsung, Axis a plus)
  • Install and service Intrusion Detection and Access Control systems (experience preferred)
  • Handle structured cabling and AV setup as needed
  • Work on construction sites, following safety protocols
  • Use ladders, power tools, and other industry equipment safely
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in installing and servicing IP surveillance systems
  • Industry/manufacturer training a plus
  • Experience with Intrusion Detection, Access Control, structured cabling, and/or AV is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction techniques
  • Strong computer and networking skills
  • Own basic industry tools
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
