Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects in the engineering industry, providing the chance to work on both small-scale and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks and work diligently under pressure. This candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment, but also display individual initiative. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving and thinking outside the box.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage various civil engineering projects including but not limited to highways, drainage systems, and construction plans.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and Civil3D to create detailed engineering designs and plans.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
• Interface with various stakeholders including NYCDEP, NYSDOT, and NYCDOT on project planning, design, and implementation.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress and completion of projects.
• Oversee and manage project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to clients and team members.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and work with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly with civil design, drainage, and highway design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with NYCDEP, NYSDOT, NYCDOT standards and regulations.
• Proven experience with construction plans and project management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
