Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Lead Commercial Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This exciting role is a vital part of our Construction department, where you will lead and manage large-scale commercial construction projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and can drive the team towards achieving the highest levels of performance.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning and implementation of commercial construction projects.
2. Manage project budget, timeline, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Perform risk management to minimize project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
4. Coordinate and manage the contract administration process, including negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of contracts.
5. Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest level of project quality.
6. Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and profitability regularly.
7. Strategically plan and forecast project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
8. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
10. Conduct regular team meetings to update members on progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
3. Proven experience in contract management, risk management, and budgeting.
4. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong ability to think critically and strategically.
5. Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on performance monitoring and improvement.
7. High proficiency in project management software and tools.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
10. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
