Qualifications Needed
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- BAS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification or eligibility strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years (preferably 5–10) of experience in electrical systems design
- Proficiency with SKM or ETAP for power systems analysis
- Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, AGI32, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of building codes and experience creating technical specifications
- Experience with data center electrical infrastructure is a strong plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as lead electrical designer on projects, overseeing technical direction
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, and heat studies using SKM or ETAP
- Design and specify electrical systems including normal/emergency power, lighting, fire alarms, and low voltage systems
- Conduct Neher-McGrath heat calculations
- Draft and review project specifications
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients across design and construction phases
- Conduct site visits to ensure system compatibility and code compliance
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to technical growth
- Participate in engineering business development and marketing efforts
