We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Medical Assistant to join our team in the healthcare industry. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our team of medical assistants while also assisting with patient care. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility, from managing medical scheduling to overseeing patient intake and EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and lead a team of medical assistants, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality patient care.
2. Coordinate and manage patient scheduling, ensuring efficient workflow and maximum patient satisfaction.
3. Oversee patient intake processes, including gathering patient information, verifying insurance, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed accurately.
4. Manage and maintain EMR, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient care and service delivery.
6. Assist with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care.
8. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
9. Handle any patient concerns or complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
10. Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on operations and offering suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
2. Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting program is required.
3. Proven experience with patient intake processes, medical scheduling, and EMR.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
5. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle patient concerns or complaints effectively.
8. Proficiency in using healthcare software and technology.
9. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, ensuring efficient workflow and patient care.
10. Strong commitment to providing high-quality care and service to patients.
11. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
