Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Lead product design for modular assemblies through manufacturing. Modular units will be used in medical facilities, banks, data centers and more!
  • Maintain models, specs, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Partner with design/engineering/manufacturing to optimize for repeatable build and efficient install.
  • Verify compliance, performance, safety, and user experience.
  • Implement document quality tools (standards, processes, checklists) and drive change control.
  • Build/manage BOMs for estimating, cost, and procurement.
  • Coordinate material selection, prototyping, testing, and iteration to hit cost/schedule targets.
  • Support factory/field with clear docs and timely problem-solving; balance immediate production needs with roadmap goals.
  • Track product KPIs; lead efforts to reduce variation, waste, and total installed cost.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Product/Industrial/Mechanical/Structural Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years designing modular products or complex assemblies in AEC or adjacent industries.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods and product interfaces with structure/finishes.
  • Familiar with MEP coordination; hands-on M/P/E design experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; translate technical detail into clear requirements.
  • Proven experience supporting cross-functional teams as a designer or product owner.
  • Comfortable in office, factory, and active construction environments (PPE as required).
  • Join daily manufacturing stand-up at 7:30 a.m. CT; available during production hours.
Preferred
  • 2–3 years Revit experience (or demonstrated ability to learn BIM tools quickly).
