Are you a highly skilled C# Lead Software Engineer with experience leading a small team of developers?
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of internal software applications aligned with organizational objectives. This role is responsible for defining and prioritizing business needs, developing initiatives, and driving the strategic planning and road mapping of software projects. You will provide leadership, innovation, and oversight to ensure the integration of business needs and IT application processes.
Note: This is an in-office, working manager role. Applicants must have experience as a lead developer who actively codes and manages a team of 2–3+ developers.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain internal software applications using C#.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Lead a team of internal Software Engineers.
Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality.
Participate in code reviews for consistency and quality.
Ensure compatibility with latest operating systems and browsers.
Monitor and maintain application performance.
Oversee internal IT infrastructure, including ERP systems, productivity suites, databases, CRMs, HR systems, etc.
Manage technical resources to meet deadlines and objectives.
Provide leadership for automated reporting and data consolidation.
Design user-friendly interfaces and features.
Understand ERP integrations and user functionality for future planning.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and manage budgets and project forecasts.
Establish and approve policies and procedures to align software with organizational standards.
Lead project planning, initiation, and execution.
Champion Agile methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with senior leadership, location managers, and support teams.
Promote a professional image and exceptional customer experience.
Provide end-user training and support.
Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
Report to senior company leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7+ years of experience designing and developing software applications using C#.
Minimum 3+ years in a software development leadership role.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong C# development skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Proficient with Visual Studio, Git, and other development tools.
Experience with Agile development methodology.
Web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) is a plus.
Strong planning, leadership, and communication skills.
Must understand internal customer functions and operational needs.
Valid driver’s license.
Occasional travel (less than 1%) may be required.
